Video: From Bob to Bald in 3 Minutes!

From Bob to Bald in 3 MinutesOut of all the versions in this “Shaving My Head Bald” series (and what a way to stretch a 40 minute vid, huh?), this one is probably my favorite – if only because in all my video making time, I’ve never done anything like this before. From Bob to Bald in 3 Minutes was fun and fabulous to edit and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it together for you. Because this is my first attempt at speedy AND musical, I hope you’ll be kind in your feedback and if you end up liking what I’ve done here, let me know that too. There is so much yet to learn with this video editing program, who knows what I could end up doing down the road…

Anyway, let’s just watch!

From Bob to Bald in (under) 3 Minutes!

YAY! It’s a totally happy and catchy thing, isn’t it?!!! And QUICK. I don’t know anyone who can shave hair that fast. Whew. Well, maybe the Military folks when they are shaving incoming recruits. Hmmm. Yep. Probably so. ANYway. I’m rambling. This is it. The last in the “Shaving My Head Bald” series.

First there was the Intro, as I try to explain just why I wanted/needed to shave it.

Then I shared the full length video, because it’s important for the whole story.

And some people like to watch in chunks, so I broke it down into 3 parts.

Which is how we ended up super fast and fabulous right here!

What’s next?

All the update videos, of course. Every week I will be posting a weekly update about what’s going on with the hair. I will be shaving or cutting or just giving you a head’s up 😉 about where we are at with it. Because we’re behind with all this, I’ll have two of those, later on this week (10.12 and 10.19 updates, both with shaving – sides and back). Then we should be on track going forward.

I do thank you sincerely, for watching this fast and furious “Shaving My Head Bald” video and if you’d like to be informed about future updates, feel free to subscribe (right at the tippy top of this page). We don’t spam, sell, or otherwise do a thing with your email – other than to send you a lovely newsletter every other day throughout the week. Easy Peasy and we won’t make you queasy.

~ Cheers

Video: 3 Parts – Shaving My Head Bald

Video: 3 Parts – Shaving My Head Bald

3 Parts Shaving My Head BaldThis here is where I ever so carefully (and with a bit more editing – you are welcome) broke the full length video into 3 different parts. 3 parts – shaving my head bald. For the folks who may prefer to skip the weepy girl and the cutting, and get right to the shaving. It’s completely up to you. Of COURSE I know there is fast forward, these days. I was just being nice…(and possibly a little OCD…)

So. What do you get with the following 3 videos?

  • Part 1 – Shaving My Head Bald: is the intro plus the scissor cuts!
  • Part 2 – Shaving My Head Bald: is shaving with a #4 and #2 guard!
  • Part 3 – Shaving My Head Bald: is shaving with no guard, the wrap up, and a little weepy end.

What? Have you not seen a San video where I am not laughing, crying, or saying “um”? Oh. Well. You need to catch up. Let’s get started.

Part I – Shaving My Head Bald

Part II – Shaving My Head Bald

Part III – Shaving My Head Bald

And there you have it. The full length, broken down into three delicious parts for you to view, however your wonderful heart desires!

Which is nothing compared to what is coming in just a little while – the super charged, super fast 3 minute version, set to some funky electro beat. Though, after watching Charlie Chaplin last night, I sorta wish I’d gone that way with the music. Oh well. I’m learning…

I do hope you enjoy these videos. Remember, this is a series and we are growing this hair out into some fabulous new style (to be determined, though I do have something in mind). I will be updating weekly – already have two updates and will schedule those for later this week so we are all caught up going forward. If you would like to stay informed, subscribe – right up there at the tippy top of this page. That way you’ll never miss a thing. And as we grow, you’ll have access to stuff that folks who don’t subscribe just won’t get right away! 😉 Not to leave anyone out, tis what it is…

Video: Full Length – Shaving My Head Bald

Video: Full Length – Shaving My Head Bald

Full Length Shaving My Head BaldI am so excited to be bringing you the entire (minus several minutes of silliness and fluff – you’re welcome) full length video of me shaving my head bald. Though it took a couple weeks to get everything in order, once I get these initial videos posted, things will be a lot smoother going forward. Learning a new (to me) video editing program, finding out some ins and outs at Vimeo, and having to deal with some personal issues didn’t help matters BUT we are here. Finally. YAY!

What can you expect in this video?

  • The entire weepy intro plus the cuts.
  • Shaving my head with guards #4 and #2.
  • Shaving my head bald with no guard.
  • The wrap up and end.

If you aren’t familiar with my style, you should know… I don’t script my videos. I also haven’t made any (besides my Ice Bucket Challenge Vid) in quite some time, so I’m a little rusty. Add to that the fact that this is also emotional for me and…well…as the hubs is fond of saying one of reasons he fell in love with me: I say what I mean and I mean what I say even if sometimes it comes out sideways. Tis what it is.

Full Length – Shaving My Head Bald

So yah. There’s that. I make no apologies. Later on I’m sharing this whole thing split into 3 parts and then seriously shortened and sped up, for those of you who want to watch it really fast and furious. I’m proud of all of it. The cutting, shaving, filming, editing, and now the building of what looks like is going to be a wicked awesome series of growing my hair out.

I hadn’t really thought it through when I decided to shave my head bald.

I hadn’t really thought it through when I decided G should film it.

I hadn’t really thought it through when I decided we should put it up here.

And now it’s become this whole big thing.

Well. Just a lil series of me shaving my head bald and then growing it out again.

I hope you enjoy it and I truly hope you’ll come along for the weekly progress updates throughout the grow-out process. Shaving it and shaping it is going to be just as fun as what you see above (minus the tears, I promise).

YAY! Thanks for watching and “see” you soon!

Video: Intro – Why I’m Shaving My Head Bald

Video: Intro – Why I’m Shaving My Head Bald

Why I'm Shaving My Head BaldBack on October 5th – no wait, let’s go back even further…because I’ve been planning this for quite some time – shaving my head bald. I just hope I’ve explained why I’m shaving my head bald, well enough. Or why I did it; since it’s done, already. I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to explain it exactly right for everyone to understand. And anyone who watches the video (coming later today with all the versions – I went a touch crazy with editing several different…) may or may not understand the why. That’s okay. I know why I did it.

The why of it is important to note, even if you cannot understand it personally. At least you may accept that I needed to do it for me.

And this intro – why I’m shaving my head bald?

I’ve got to warn you. It is WEEPY! Filled with tears as I try to tell you a tiny bit of what we’ve been through (as a family) over the last year. It doesn’t matter, though. Not right now. You are here to watch me shave my head bald.

This here is the intro to that. The rest will follow.

Introduction – Why I’m Shaving My Head Bald

It has taken just over 2 weeks to pull all this together and get everything organized properly (the way I want it, honestly), due to physical and technical issues beyond my control. And perhaps a bit of self doubt, as well. But I am determined to tell a story here. Shaving my head bald and growing it out again – we’re going to film the entire process – is all a part of that.

YAY!

I do hope you’ll come along for this hair raising adventure!

~ Cheers
