Mental Health Day – February 18th

Today, February 18th, is mental health day. A day to take a wee little break from the usual (whatever that means) and step back a bit to reflect on some things. OR not reflect – if that will help you enjoy your mental health day better. All that is required on this mental health day is for you to stop what you’re doing and do something different… That is what I’ll be doing today, anyway. Mental health day isn’t actually today*. I simply chose the date and made … Read more…

For My Health and Theirs!

For My Health and Theirs!

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I’m calling it a mental health week here at Informed Sharing. Mental, emotional, and physical – actually. For my health and theirs. If you’ve been following along here for any length of time, you may know that I am dealing with a chronic illness (Fibromyalgia), complicated by 24/7 migraines, and a few other things I have yet to discuss with the outside world. Occasionally (more often than I would like to admit) this creeps up and does me in to a point … Read more…

Wearing Rose-Tinted Shades

Wearing Rose-Tinted Shades

I have been teased more times than I can count for wearing rose-tinted shades and yet I am not here to apologize for doing so. I’m also not going to remove them. How Do YOU Benefit From All This?

How Do YOU Benefit From All This?

I know I keep talking about you helping me and me helping them and maybe you are wondering… How do YOU benefit from all this? I’m asking you to subscribe to Informed Sharing. For every new subscriber in this September Month of Giving, we’ll donate $1 (up to $400) to be divided among these four Go Fund Me campaigns: Further, if we get crazy … Read more…

Rediscovering Informed Sharing on Blogger

Rediscovering Informed Sharing on Blogger

When I learned about a possible Google AdSense alternative – a viable, REAL, honest to goodness – alternative, the next step was going over to Blogger to see about my old blog, Informed Sharing. I hadn’t touched that old thing in nearly three years. Read more: Is Qadabra Right for You? But I was excited about to see it because I was in a nostalgic mood, having learned recently about Y!CN closing and realizing once again that I was at a crossroads with my writing (at least with … Read more…

We Didn’t Hear You, Robin Williams!

Last night, as we lounged, watching (whatever) on the television (I can’t recall), I happened upon my phone to scroll Facebook. It was surely one of those “where were you when…” moments. Robin Williams Dead at 63. Apparent Suicide. Shock. Awe. Pause the television. Tears welling up for a man I did not know personally. My husband, not knowing why my hands are shaking as I turn to him and utter the words… Robin Williams committed suicide. Complete and total disbelief that someone so funny and light-hearted and … Read more…
